Extra Thought Cycles
My daughter and I were just discussing those extra thought cycles that buzz around in our heads, which have to be told to shush in order to get any peace, and so I googled it and found a blog post from 2005, which turned out to be mine. I was quite happy that I had liked it greatly before I realized it was my own. http://cognitivescience.blogspot.com/ On those extras, they can be quite magical, but they can be incredibly annoying too. I have had the song, It's A Small World, cycling back there for weeks now. I can almost shut it up, but it is really still simmering back there continuously. It has a somewhat soothing rhythm if I can shush it enough, so maybe that's where it needs to go, to utility-ville. Those annoying things you can't get rid of just have to be taken by the horns and utilized. I stuff it down with music and television for now.
